Meet the Teacher Night!!

Jacob and Kylie were able to go to school to meet there new teachers on Monday night. Kylie is going to be in Kindergarten this year. She is going for a full day! Lunch at school and everything. She is so excited to be at the same school as Jacob. Her teacher's name is Mrs. Morales. She seems very nice and Kylie just loved her. Kylie can't wait for school to start. She asks everyday how many minutes until school starts. I think she is going to do great. I am going to try really hard not to cry! My baby is starting school. It will be weird with all of my kids at school this year.
Jacob will be in 4th grade this year. He is a little nervous but excited too. I was asking him if he was excited for school to start. He told me that he was excited to see his friends but going to school meant that he had to actually learn. I tried to explain that that is kind of the reason we go to school. He is happy that he gets to be the big brother on campus this year since Jacie is at Jr. High. He is taking this new found responsibility very seriously. He can't wait to show Kylie where to go and what to do. His teacher's name is Mrs. Croxell. She is very nice as well. I hear that she runs a tight ship. I think that is just what my Jacob needs. He will do great this year.
Jacie had her 7th grade orientation today. She wouldn't let me go with her so there isn't a picture of her and any of her teachers. I think she would have absolutely died if I went and followed her around to all of her classes with my camera. She is at that stage where she is way to cool to be seen with her mother. I love to kiss and hug her (or dance) when she is with her friends.... just because I can. She usually just rolls her eyes and walks away. She will only hug and kiss me back when she knows that no one is watching. She is a teenager waiting to happen. Gotta love her!!
This summer went way too fast. I can't believe that school is starting already. Good luck to all of those school kids out there. And Congrats to all the moms and dads who bust their buns to get everything ready.

Jacie's New Glasses!!

Jacie just got new glasses. Aren't they cute. I keep telling her that they make her look so smart. I also think they make her look all grown up. (I don't tell her that though!) She is already growing up way to fast. She is taller than me. Yes....I know that isn't a huge feat but seriously!! We wear the same size shoes and we are often mistaken for eachother on the phone. If anyone has an idea of how to make her slow down that would be great. She is starting 7th grade this year. I can't believe she is ready for Jr. High. She is such a great kid. I am so greatful for her and the example she is to her brother and sister. I love you Jacie!! You are awesome!! PS. Love your new glasses!!!

Celebrating 5 years of Kylie!!

My little Kylie turned 5 today!! I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday that she was born. Kylie is so excited to be 5 and can't wait to go to Kindergarten this year. On Friday night we had a fun Hula swimming party at Grandma Fay's house. We had lots of family and friends come. We went swimming, had big sub sandwiches from Steve's Crazy Sub, and Cake and Ice Cream. See Kylie's fun birthday cake? My friend Jessica made it. She is so talented. The cake was a great addition to our summer fun party. It tasted yummy too! (Thanks Jess!)
Kylie got some great presents. She got a singing HSM Sharpay doll, clothes, new school stuff, a pony (stuffed animal...really?), and Grandma Lou got her a DS. Now she can play DS's right along with Jacie and Jacob. It was a great party. Tonight Grandma Lou came over for pizza and more Cake and Ice Cream. She got to have all the kids in Primary sing Happy Birthday to her. She was beaming!!
Since Kylie is 5 I thought I would post 5 great things about her!
1. She loves me no matter what.
2. She is sassy. ( Over the top sometimes but I love it too.)
3. She gives great hugs and kisses anytime I ask. (My other kids have outgrown that!)
4. She loves to sing to HSM songs at the top of her lungs. Even when she doesn't know the words.
5. She loves to twirl. She has to have a dress on and she will spin all around the house.
We love you Kylie. You are such a great kid and fun sister. You are such an important part of our family and we will love you forever. Happy Birthday!

Totally Wicked!!

Josh, Jacie and I went to see Wicked this past week at ASU Gammage!! It was so good. I saw it a couple of years ago but Josh and Jacie have never seen it. Dr. Beck gave me 2 tickets for Nurse's Day a few months ago. I was going to just take Jacie. It turned out that Dr. Beck had an extra ticket, so Josh got to go too. It was seriously so great. If you haven't seen it you need to go. It is such a great story and the music is fabulous. This was Jacie's first Broadway show. She wouldn't stop talking about it the whole way home. We listen to the soundtrack and sing all of our favorite songs. It was a great night. Thanks Dr. Beck!!

It's a Home Run!!!!!

On Tue. June 23rd we went to the Diamondbacks vs. Rangers game. We were on the homerun patio which is located next to the pool. Justin Upton hit a homerun and it came right at us. The Rangers player tipped the ball off the top of his glove and it hit the wall behind us. Josh was able to get the ball. He didn't catch it unfortunately but he picked it up. They replayed the homerun on SportsCenter later that night and you can totally see us ducking out of the way. It was awesome!! The representatives from the ballpark came down and asked if we wanted it signed. We said yes of course, so they took it and had Justin Upton sign it. We just got it back in the mail. It was so great. Alot of Josh's friends gave him a hard time about ducking out of the way but he is the lucky one with the ball. It was definitely a great game!

Here we go!!

Okay everyone!! I finally broke down and started my blog. (With a little help and motivation from my friend Jessica! Thanks Jess!!) It was one of my New Years resolutions to start our family blog. Since I don't scrapbook or journal very well I hope this can be a way to document some of the fun and important events in our little family!! So, here it is July and this just may be the one resolution I have followed through on. I am a tad intimidated by the whole blog thing and would like any guidance you would like to send my way. I am going to give it my best effort, so......Here we go!!
